Several students from Western Connecticut State University made an appearance at this month’s meeting of the Board of Regents, the body which governs the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities system. Students expressed concern and alarm with the proposed elimination of majors and minors form the Social Sciences and other departments. Student testimony begins at the forty-five minute mark and is followed by comments from faculty from several CSCU institutions, including Dr. Lumbantobing and Dr. Bandhauer at WCSU. CSCU President Cheng and WCSU President Beran delivered responses.
