On March 24th, the Honors Students of Compassion Club will be hosting a “Paint and Sip” event in the Honors Lyceum. Be sure to stop by and create some art to take home. The event will feature guest painter Emily Mansi as HSOC’s very own Bob Ross.

The Honors Students of Compassion Club are all about spreading kindness and finding community on campus. The goal of this club is represented metaphorically by dolphins who work together to bring support to others in accordance with the principles of the Kathwari Honors Program. You may already be familiar with HSOC from two successfully hosted Super Smash Bros tournaments. The club hopes to host more tournaments in the future if that is more up your alley.

You do not have to be a part of the Honors Program to participate; all are welcome at any events HSOC hosts, including future activities.

For those not familiar, a Paint and Sip is a great way to learn how to improve your creative arts skills as you are taught how to paint a specific featured image by the guest painter with step-by-step instructions alongside other participants.

No matter what it is sure to be a fun time with painting supplies provided at the event. The night is sure to be a great opportunity to meet peers who are also interested in artistic activities, and overall promises a great way to decompress from the stresses of the semester.

The Paint and Sip is also a great opportunity to show off your creative talents, and the best painters can potentially win prizes, including Amazon gift cards.

For those less interested in the competitive side of the painting night, be sure to stop by and enjoy some refreshments and snacks. Planned refreshments will include coffee, tea, and a selection of fruit.

A number of other HSOC events are coming up, including multiple Kahoot nights open to any who want to participate virtually. Different topics will be featured over the course of these Kahoot events, and the club hopes to also offer a free raffle or prizes for those who come join.
