Last fall, Westconn student Clarence Pacete established a “humansofwcsu” Instagram account to bring unity to the student body, and so far it’s been successful.

“It’s been much more productive this semester; I’ve been posting almost daily,” said Pacete.

Pacete mentioned that more people this semester are open to sharing stories to the account, especially after hearing about the Instagram and Facebook accounts. In addition, he has also begun interviewing students on the westside campus.

“The range of stories has expanded and people are becoming more open to sharing for the account,” said Pacete.

Pacete’s style to interview for @humansofwcsu is simple and straightforward; inspired by Humans of New York, he asks questions that pertain to one’s interests, experiences, and/or about themselves.

“One of my favorite stories was when I interviewed a girl who was a Leukemia survivor; it was very inspirational, and it’s influenced a lot of people around campus,” said Pacete.
