According to a statement relayed to students by email from the Office of Deanna Cibery-Schaab, Interim Chief Facilities Officer & Associate Vice President for Campus Planning, the university has been notified by Eversource, the local electrical power company, of power outages expected tomorrow, Saturday October 1st, between 8:00am and 4:00pm on Midtown Campus as a result of ongoing work near campus. 

According to the most recent information at time of publication, Old Main, Fairfield Hall, Warner Hall, Newbury Hall, Litchfield Hall, Higgins Hall, and the Police Department are expected to lose power. Student Affairs confirmed in a follow up email that dining services Midtown Student Center will not be affected and should continue as normal

Students and faculty are advised to make arrangements before the end of the workday today to ensure all important data are saved and backed up, and to fully power down all computers and sensitive electronic equipment that may be affected by power fluctuations.
